Meet Kathy Wilson
A question I have often asked myself is: How do you create positive change in your life? I have always had visions of creating something spectacular for myself. I want to live a life I enjoy, one I’m passionate about, one that gives me the freedom to do – or not do – as I please, and one that at the very end of my life I will be able to say I lived with no regrets. I’ve had lots of fits and starts, good days and bad. I’ve done tons of research, and read lots of books. I’ve vamped and revamped, thought and rethought, structured and restructured my business around strategies and ideas I believed would help people achieve their goals, whether personal or professional. But you know what the biggest lesson I’ve taken away from all of this is? Change is really difficult.
Now, it might seem easy because the idea of being able to do, be, or have whatever you want in life seems exciting enough to lure anyone into changing. And you know what? Change is easy for some people. But for people, including myself, who at any time in their lives have been unable to consistently create the results they wanted, it can be pretty challenging. The conundrum seems to be exactly how do you change? What actually goes into it? And how do you make change last? This has been something with which I have been fascinated for years. After much pondering and many machinations, what I now know for sure is that it comes down to one thing, really: self-mastery. Whatever it is you are trying to change or achieve hinges on whether or not you can master yourself.
As I made plans to develop a specialty area in my training and facilitation business, it became obvious how intertwined my health, my relationships, and my finances actually are. It astounded me that as I explained my new plan to my husband I could not seem to talk about one area without mentioning all of the others that fed into carrying out my plan. I realized very quickly I had more questions to answer than just "What should I specialize in"? And if that was the case with me, it was probably the case with other people, as well. So! I am tackling this subject, the topic of self-mastery, with renewed vigor. I firmly believe anything is possible. And I believe that we can do, be, and have anything we desire. The key is that you have to become the person who can manifest those things in your life.
Whether the changes you are trying to make are in your professional or personal life, it doesn’t matter. The strategies you use are going to be the same because you are taking the same person with you in to every situation in your life. You just have to have the right strategies. And that’s why I’m here!
